I would wholeheartedly recommend Rachel if you're considering counselling. She helped me with a number of longstanding issues over a period of several months. We went at a pace I was comfortable with and used a number of creative techniques which I found really helped me make sense of things I thought I'd never get to grips with.
Rachel brought warmth, humour and compassion to our sessions which I really valued, especially when there were tough topics to deal with. She always made sure I was OK at the end of a session, and that I left with something really positive to focus on.
I’d highly recommend working with Rachel, she has a lovely style of listening and asking helpful questions to make you think about your situation in order to work through it, but also gave useful advice on how to deal with it, especially when I couldn’t see a way forward. She always made me feel at ease, this was shown best by some of our sessions taking place on a walk outside when it was a sunny day because I mentioned I would enjoy that!
I'm still benefitting several months on - in every session Rachel gave me new tools to help me cope with situations I found challenging, or to reframe unhelpful thinking. I'm still using them, and I feel better and emotionally stronger now than I have for many years. I can't begin to describe how grateful I am to Rachel for helping me achieve this!
